Overview
Fire door defects are often caused by day-to-day use: damaged seals, unsuitable hardware, poor closing, or gaps outside acceptable tolerances. Repairs and remedials should be approached with the door’s intended performance in mind.
We carry out practical, compliance-first remedial works and provide clear records of what’s been addressed — and where replacement is the safer option.
Compliance & standards
Repairs are completed with reference to Approved Document B, relevant guidance such as BS 8214 where applicable, and manufacturer instructions/test evidence for the specific doorset.
Where repairs are delivered as part of a planned maintenance programme, remedials can be completed in line with BM TRADA Q-Mark scheme parameters (within certification scope) and approved repair techniques.
